Overview
Neekee earned his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the Philippines in 1999, where he also completed a course in Public Administration. After admission into the Philippine Bar the following year, he started his first six years of practice in the litigation department of Carpio Villaraza & Cruz Law Offices, where he was promoted to Senior Associate after three years. Immediately prior to founding LGTON Law, he was a founding partner in Lim Leynes Lozada-Marquez since 2007.
Neekee is passionate about nurturing the future of the legal profession. He is currently the Associate Dean for Clinical Legal Education of the De La Salle University, Tañada-Diokno School of Law, and previously served as its Director for External Relations during its early years where he represented the institution in national and global extra-curricular endeavors. From 2005-2006, he was the Chairman of the Committee on Legal Education of the Integrated Bar’s Makati City Chapter, and was an accredited lecturer of Trial and Pre-trial Skills for the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education program.
Teaching allows Neekee to stay up to date with the developments and modern trends in law, particularly in the courses he teaches – Civil Procedure, Evidence, Obligations and Contracts, Corporation Law, Transportation, Maritime and Public Utilities Law. He is a faculty member of the University of the Philippines, College of Law, and is one of the first professional lecturers of the De La Salle University, Tañada-Diokno School of Law. He also had teaching loads at the Far Eastern University, Institute of Law as part of its then joint Juris Doctor-Master of Business Administration program with the De La Salle University, College of Business.
